Let's get straight into it. 1.75lbs off.
I'm not going to lie, I'm disappointed. It's week one and I ate massive chinese the night before last week's weigh in. I was really hoping for at least 2lbs if not 3 or 4. I was justifying not losing more with all manner of reasons.... I got away with a few losses in December that I didn't deserve and maybe was really a few pounds heavier. I've not exercise properly for about 8 weeks and my muscle is coming back that I no doubt lost. I've had some... ahem, toilet issues.
Oh do shut up woman. What a pile of waffle. Get real.
I lost almost 2lbs. That's a good loss. I'm back in the 12s (12 stone 13.25lbs) Slow and steady worked for me last year and it will again this year. I ate too many left over sweeties last week and a massive meal on Saturday night at well as drinks - that's why I didn't lose more. Week two - tighten up the sneaky extras and keep on keeping on. Simple.

Weigh In
Right, let's get down to business. Half a pound off which takes me into the 13 stone bracket by the skin of my teeth (13stone 13.75lbs). In the grand scheme of things it's jack all but it's a loss following a slightly questionable weekend and so I'll take it.
The scales did their usual jumping around malarkey and in fact the first weight I saw was 13stone 12.5lbs and I do think I am slightly closer to that than I've officially recorded but the numbers jumped up again and so I've gone for the heavier weight just to be on the safe side.
I'm actually raring to go for another week. Feeling good. Calves are looking more toned. Now running at 9.4kmph as standard. Can feel the strength in my legs when cycling. Was out for afternoon tea and cocktails yesterday. Built it into my food plan for the day and really enjoyed it. Guilt free and onwards for a healthy week. All good.
Now, onto other matters which may, or may not, have a bearing on the above. Almost a year ago I got the coil fitted. I love it. Hassle free, no remembering to take it, no effect on my moods or sex drive, my periods fade away to nothing- a winner all round.
But wait, what's that? I've suddenly got a period seven weeks after my last one? And cramps too? What the chuffing hell is going on? I don't mind getting my period but not when I wasn't expecting it. And it's sore. And I'm off to see TB tonight. Moan, moan, moan.
Thanks for all your suggestions for meal time ideas with Monkey Face TB. We actually had a bit of a chat about it the other night and he's said that tonight we'll have whatever I want for tea. Not that I couldn't do that before but, of course I want him to have something he enjoys. We both love food and need to get some pleasure from it! So I want to cook him something healthy and tasty to challenge his thoughts that healthy = tasteless, boring and not a complete meal. He will eat most things, he's just being fussy cause he can and so tonight I'm making him spinach, tomato and red pepper cannelloni with slimming world chips. In your face TB. Actually in your face if you please!

Weigh In. Number 1.
I'm calling this week's weigh in at *looks around furtively* Slimming World, weigh in one. Yeah, I was weighed in last week, on my very first week but wasn't after a week of following the plan, was it?
So I trotted along on Tuesday to the hall where myself and a pile of other chubby ladies have the pleasure of standing on some scales which make us feel either totally shit or completely amazing. I waited in line to get on the bloody things and I was nervous. My heart was pounding and I could barely keep my train of thought - which was, 'I better have lost at least a few pounds'. It was week one after all. I'm delighted to report that I lost 4lbs.
I'm extra pleased with that as not only did I do no exercise I was generally pretty sedentary. I'm aiming to get back into the gym this week, even if it is just once or twice so hopefully I can get another good loss next week. It's a tall order but I'd love it if I could lose 3lbs next week and make it a half stone. I'm going for it anyway and if I come anywhere close then happy days.
I also had more of a chance to assess my fellow syners this week as I wasn't doing mental somersaults with red days, green days, free and superfree foods and I think I might have been a bit quick to judge them. The majority of them are pretty normal people who can probably spell their own name (oooh - harsh?). It's just that there are certain characters that stand out who are.... well, maybe not the fizziest drink in the fridge.
I was going to tell Toyboy about being on a diet at the weekend as we spent a long weekend together but after the first day together I realised I didn't have to! We were eating out loads and I was just making the right choices and I thought 'I'm getting away with this - I don't need to tell him!'. Well, that was until Monday lunchtime when I offered the mozzarella to him from my chicken salad.
"Are you not eating dairy, or something", he asked.
Busted! I had no option but to come clean. I fessed up. I wasn't sure what he was going to say and to be honest I wasn't too worried. I wasn't looking for him to say 'why? You don't need to go on a diet' or for him to try and reassure me. I'm not doing this to please him. What he did say was, "Fair enough. If that's what you want to do then good luck."
I love that. No big discussion. No big stromash.
